Aputure continues to expand its affordable and high-quality Amaran light fixture line-up over a few months. The compact Amaran line- Amaran COB 60x and 60d are now available, which are a good choice for travel. The Amaran line is also good fit for some entry-level beginners or someone who want some affordable devices.
Powering Options
Both lights are portable and compact, and they both weigh only 675g. The fixtures are powered in many ways, including an AC power supply, Dual NP-F battery plate, or D-Tap battery (cable must be purchased separately). But no gold mount option. When it comes to its maximum power consumption, it reaches 76w. 12-16.8 volts is needed when using NP-F batteries and D-Tap. For its NP-F battery plate, it is equipped with a fixed cable on the base with a barrel connector on the other end that goes into the light.
Compatible Modifiers
These two lights have a mini hyper reflector that Aputure official says is designed to meet a 15° beam angle. This reflector is so small and very tight you may see on other Aputure light, such as Aputure Light Storm LC 120d II. Additionally, these two lights feature a full-size Bowens Mount. They are suitable for various modifiers, such as Aputure Light Dome SE, Light Dome Mini II and Aputure Lantern.
