Viltrox is expected to officially announce the AF 35mm F1.4 Pro, a new full-frame prime in its Pro series, in the near future. The lens has already been shown behind glass at trade events and teased on social media, but Viltrox has not yet confirmed a launch date, price, or full specifications.
The 35mm F1.4 Pro would be the third full-frame Pro prime after the 50mm F1.4 Pro and 85mm F1.4 Pro. Current reports indicate that the Sony E-mount version will come first, with a Nikon Z-mount version expected to follow.
What is known so far:
- Full-frame 35mm focal length with an f/1.4 maximum aperture
- Part of Viltrox's Pro series of full-frame autofocus lenses
- Sony E-mount first; Nikon Z-mount reportedly to follow
- Reported but unconfirmed: 77mm filter thread, 0.3m minimum focus distance, VCM autofocus, metal body
The lens was displayed at China P&E 2026 and shown again at IBC 2026, and recent teasers suggest an official announcement is close. None of the specifications above have been confirmed by Viltrox, so they should be treated as unofficial until the launch.
