I purchased this lens for the Micro Four Thirds mount. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with the lens!
In terms of build quality, the mount is polished metal (high longevity), the rings are incredibly smooth and just the right amount of stiffness for precise macro movements. Two critiques: my aperture ring had a slight up-and-down motion, which did not seem to be intentional. It has since cleared up. Secondly, though the tight mount makes me quite confident, future iterations of this lens would benefit greatly from some light weather sealing around the focus and aperture rings.
The lens is also a bit heavy, but this is coming from a MFT shooter who is not used to full-frame, metal lenses.
Image quality is incredible, and there is nothing to complain about. Edge softness is practically nonexistent. Chromatic Aberration is often a non-factor.
I use this lens with a screw-on lens hood to provide protection to the front element and to rest the lens on surfaces or my hands for high magnification shots.
I did not use the previous iteration of the lens, but this one is supposed to handle internal reflections better. I imagine this is difficult because of the lens' design (take a look down the front element and you will see a lubricated tube with tracks for focusing). If it is shot at bright light, some contrast is lost at f2.8, but when stopped down to f4, the contrast returns.
I would recommend this lens to anyone seeking high magnification who wants great image quality, and is comfortable taking focus stacks manually!

Using this macro lens in my apsc canon i noticed a slight lower contrast in harsh light condition, but apart from that, the lens built quality is very good and communicates a feeling of durability.The image quality is sharp. For the best sharpness use an aperture of F5.6
Good macro lens for the price. Allows you to get very close to objects. Recommended for beginners.
I've done tests comparing it to the Sony 90mm G Macro. The image quality result is the same. Nothing to envy. It's a wonder.
